Daily Skeletons

Illustration
Project Overview
Went to a Van Gogh exhibit and bought a sketchbook in the gift shop that featured his painting of a smoking skeleton on the cover. I decided to use that as a theme for drawing, and also as an excercise to get myself drawing every day. The only rule is that the drawing needs to have a skull or bones. I can spend five hours on a single drawing, or only five seconds. The point was to get myself in the habit of drawing every day, and since August 29th, 2021 I have managed to successfully keep up with the practice. It almost became a sort of artistic journal/diary where you can almost tell my mental state (or how busy I was) on any given day.
